Reflection

 As this term is coming to an end and we finalised our foundation year, this will be the last post reflecting back to the three terms. Through these modules, I earned a huge amount of knowledge that I will be using in my undergraduate year next year. From researching to describing and practicing/learning skills like sketching, digital sketching in programs such as SketchUp to planning, 3D modeling, and many more.  I learned how to use my creativity without being afraid to fail and take all the mistakes from previous projects to learn from them so I can do better in the future. I learned a lot of needed skills for architecture like understanding what the client's wants and needs are, what a structure needs to be sustainable while having a beautiful design, and choosing materials that can be maintained based on location, weather situation, etc. During the third term, I managed to finish both 2D and 3D aspects of my project which I thought would be impossible but instead benefite...

Updating my website pages / Uploading my boards process - Project Development

 This is my process of fixing my website and uploading my project.  First, I went to my portfolio page and added a subpage for my new project by clicking on the 'page' icon, clicked on 'add page', and then when the page was created I turned it into a subpage from the 3 dot icon settings.  Then I added the same button icon setting that I already had on my portfolio page, which would lead to the new project. I did that by clicking on "add elements" on the left side toolbar, then clicked on the "button" section and selected the same design as the rest of them. After I placed it next to the rest, I clicked on it and then on the "change text & icon" selection that pops up and changed the text, and selected the link for the new page that leads to the third project  After that, I went to my 'about me' page and updated my writing. Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it. Then from the right tool bar I lowered the opacity to 40% which is located at the 'layers' category.  Then I followed the same steps with uploading my concept image and arranged the size and placement by clicking on the 'move' tool and then clicking on 'show trans...

3D Floorplan Process / Results - Project Development

This is my 3D floor plan process. To create this I used  Homestyler  and created the ground floor which is the reception along with some sitting areas.  First, I opened a new document and created the room by clicking on "create room" in the top left corner. Then I added two sliding doors for the entrance. I did that by going to the same setting "create room" and scrolled down to the "door and window" category and chose the sliding door option with the design I wanted.  Then I added full wall windows because I couldn't figure out how to create the triangle ones. (Later in the process I figured it out and included them) I found the windows from the same category. After the base was done I started placing furniture to test out the placements. For that I went to the "model library" setting which is the fourth icon on the left side, and then clicked on "catalog",  there were different furniture categories, I mostly used the "office...
