The Fantastic Five - Idea Generation

This post will be about showing and talking about my first ideas.

Now that we know the themes for our projects I will try to sketch and talk about a few of the ideas I had for my project with the "oceanic" theme.

1. First will be the more solid idea I have, I thought about a workplace building with a wave shape which will take most of the left side of the building and glass walls throughout the rest of it. 




2. The second one would be a sea shell-inspired small house with a circular/swirl shape that extends to the side and the exterior may be rock textured walls or stone/rock pieces walls.






3. The third idea is a glass sphere building held up by columns on shallow water. This would be either an apartment or a gallery/ public place to visit for views. 




4. The fourth idea I had would be a trident-inspired shaped building, with three units which will be three separate spaces on the building that will represent each spike. The exterior would be rock textured resembling ocean rocks/shell textures. 
 


5.  The fifth idea would be an organic forms/shaped structure - open plan loft/apartment with an oceanic-themed colour palette.

    Post your sign off sheet including text on the discussion we had in the tutorial regarding these designs, please. Last term, your blog was clear in its development of your project, do the same this term and don't leave long gaps between your posts!!

Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it. Week 5 further research

 In week 5 of planning, I'm doing some more research. Today I'm researching Rem Koolhaas, a Dutch architect who is known for his gravity-defying structures. His innovative and futuristic style has been setting standards for years, he thinks that "Terms like city, street, identity, and architecture are things of the past. The past is too small to live in".
