What do i know about architecture

 This is a blog exercise about answering questions on our knowledge of our progression route. 


In my subject area, I should be doing hand and digital sketches of designs, researching architects, materials, buildings structures, or things that connect to the subject, design floor plans with dimensions/measurements.

The skills and knowledge I need are sketching, digital sketching (like working on sketch up, AutoCAD), finding good materials, and planning good structures that will maintain sustainability. Understanding people's wants when designing something by planning first ideas with options. 

Jobs that I can get from studying architecture are having a job as an architect in a company, interior architect/designer, urban designer.

I would score myself 5 out of 10 on my knowledge of my progression route.

    Skills should include understanding approaches to designing in different locations and the significance of different weather conditions and the effects that that will have on cost, accessibility, materials, transportation. Should also think about Sustainability the understanding of which has become an essential part of an architects practise now.

Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it.                                     Sequential photos part 2  A task we had in week one was to take our own sequential photos . We started by thinking of different creative ideas then we had to sketch them on a piece of paper , the first thing that i thought of was a series of elevator pictures.The reason behind it is that lately i've been having some elevator problems at my accommodation building so that is what i sketched , a picture of the sketch is included below .
