First thoughts/ideas - Theme Major Project

 Today we were introduced to 3 themes for our major project in our Art Portfolio module. The themes were Purple Haze, Earthly Delights, and Expressionism, personally while listening to the description for each theme, I was having ideas for all three but ended up being more drawn to the third one     Expressionism. 

The reason is that it gives a range of freedom to discover plenty of ideas for each subject in this case, architecture. This theme can be used to express avant-garde ideas on buildings etc. The first thought I had for this theme, was a futuristic avant-garde tall building with unusual structures for the exterior. 

Artists that came to mind who work within this theme are Rem Koolhas, Zaha Hadid, Frank Gerhy and Norman Foster.

Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it. Week 5 further research

 In week 5 of planning, I'm doing some more research. Today I'm researching Rem Koolhaas, a Dutch architect who is known for his gravity-defying structures. His innovative and futuristic style has been setting standards for years, he thinks that "Terms like city, street, identity, and architecture are things of the past. The past is too small to live in".
