Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it. Then from the right tool bar I lowered the opacity to 40% which is located at the 'layers' category.  Then I followed the same steps with uploading my concept image and arranged the size and placement by clicking on the 'move' tool and then clicking on 'show trans...

Week 3 Further Research - Wassily Kandinsky

Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian painter and art theorist and he is considered one of western art's forefathers of abstraction. He took painting studies in his 30s after completing his studies for law and economics. He was fascinated by colours, colour symbolism, and psychology from a young age and he traveled to the "Vologda region north of Moscow" as a part of an "ethnographic" research group, where the artworks and buildings he found there with shimmering and bright colours on dark backgrounds made him feel like he was moving in a painting, which inspired him in his early work.  His abstract work developed over time through his intense thinking on his artistic experiences, "inner beauty", "fervor of spirit" and "spiritual desire inner necessity" were central aspects of his art.  His interest in abstraction started when one day he went home to find one of his paintings hanging upside down which he stared at for some time. Week 5 further research

 In week 5 of planning, I'm doing some more research. Today I'm researching Rem Koolhaas, a Dutch architect who is known for his gravity-defying structures. His innovative and futuristic style has been setting standards for years, he thinks that "Terms like city, street, identity, and architecture are things of the past. The past is too small to live in".
