This is my project sign-off that was completed after discussing it in my class tutorial. Also here are some pictures of work from architects that have created similar themes of unique-looking and modern futuristic buildings that are relatable and inspirational to what my project is about as well  : "Tulip Tower" designed by Norman Foster                                                "The gherkin" designed by Norman Foster (2003)                                                                               Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul - "Luminous techno sponge" (2014) Designed by Zaha Hadid.                                    Here is the link to my project sign-off

Smart Objective - Tribrid Building

Image
Smart Objective : This is about my architecture major project , the idea is about designing a modern-futuristic three tower building named 'Tribrid' (which means 3 things together) inspired by alien life and space .This building will be located in Tokyo and it will be a residential and office building ,the one tower will be the home area where the apartments will be , the second will be the work area and the third one will be the entertainment area with restaurants , cafes, sitting areas etc for everyone living and working there .Every tower will have 50 floors and all three will be connected with an ongoing bridge so people can have quick access to every area. It will be build like a smart home building with new technology available in all areas. I will create boards showing the planning, drawing and digital designs, floor plans, sustainability and materials information . The project must be completed by the deadline which is beginning of December. This is a picture of a modern-

Idea generation for major project

Image
This blog will be about writing down my ideas for our major project.  Concept: My idea is to create a design for a three-tower building inspired by alien life and space atmosphere. Including unusual architecture and structure in this building by using modern lines and making it look as spacious as possible while meeting all living requirements.  The building is made of three towers and all three are connected by an ongoing bridge which shapes the three towers into a triangle building. In the middle of it, there would be an outside living room area with weird, shaped pools. The towers are going to be really tall with bare textured cement and a lot of full-length/size glass windows. Additional design information: Futuristic furniture, big spaces, more earthy colour pallets with light and dark greys, white and black tones. Build like a smart home (technology will be a big part of this building) Some image examples and  inspiration:                             image source:  The 17 most

Advert feedback for my blog buddy

Image
This post is about writing some feedback for my blog buddy Jenny's advert  - Are the initial ideas and development clear? The initial idea of her advert and development was clear and brilliantly executed. - Was the research completed and was it clearly linked to the advert? The research was completed and posted on her blog, she researched about other adverts and found information about the product she was advertising. - Was the process shown with commentary about tools? The whole process was shown on her blog, about how she created her logo and her own images to completing the actual advert. - Was the final outcome clear? Could there be any improvements? The final outcome was clear and personally, I found it an excellent job, everything was very creative from her amazing colourful, self-made images to her well-written slogans. Here are Jenny's end result adverts : Source: Jenny's blog address

My own advert - Process and results

Image
This blog will be about the process of creating the end advert and I will show the final result.  When I chose my image online from the research I did previously, I went ahead and started the image advert by going into Pixlr like I did in my practice blog. I followed the same steps as last time with editing and adding text and the logo I created first to the image which I show below in the process .  I first opened Pixlr and chose Pxlr E          Once I got in, I clicked file then 'new image' and print. Then I selected the A4 210x297 option, I chose the white background and then I pressed the button 'create'.  Then I clicked on 'page' , 'page rotation' and 'rotate left' to turn my image sideways  The next step was to select my image, I did that by clicking 'file' again, then 'open image', selecting the picture I downloaded earlier, and opening it.     Afterward, I added text to the image which I did by going to the s

research about creating my own advert

Image
Here is some research I did to find information that I need to include in my advert.    First I looked for images that represent what I want to advertise, something that has to do with nature but of course, the main topic is the headphones, and found these ones that I liked : Then I searched what I need to know about headphones, what is important, and what new features you can find in headphones now such as wireless connection, clear and loud sound, and noise cancellation. I also looked at some other headphone adverts for inspiration and noticed what they prioritized and how they made them look interesting and not boring to look at with easy-reading texts and logos like this image below for example : image references :  - GoodFon (online) Available from:  https://www.goodfon.com/wallpaper/naushniki-priroda-osen-les.html  (Accessed 18th October ) - Unsplash , Music yo my ears by Sara Dubler (Online) Available from:    https://unsplash.com/photos/nWC9gnXoGDU  ( Accessed 18th October )

Creating an advert - Pixlr Practice

Image
Today I am going to show a part of the process of creating an advert, I am going to practice by using Pixlr to try out my ideas with images and logos.                                                            I first opened Pixlr and chose Pxlr E                         Once I got in, I clicked file then 'new image' and print . Then I selected the A4 210x297 option, I chose the white background and then I pressed the button 'create'.                                                                    The next step was to select my image, i did that by clicking 'file' again, then 'open image', selected the picture I downloaded earlier, and opened it .  In this picture, I showed the added text to the image which I did by going to the sidebar tool and selecting the 'T' sign (Text tool), then selected where I wanted to add my text and wrote it . I changed the fonts to 'ATOMSFER' and the colour to black, lastly, I adjusted the size of the t

Creating an advert - ideas generation

Image
Ideas Generation   This week our first task has to do with advertising.A product i am interested in using for the advert is headphones , I did some research and found some adverts for inspiration like these for example : source :  http://www.voicesofeastanglia.com/2012/01/wired-for-sound-headphones.html source :  https://themarketingbirds.com/9-creative-headphone-ads-for-music-lovers/                                                                        It is interesting how adverts changed over the years , like in these two . In the first image they used a person and many words , the second advert is much more simple but the message of the product they are trying to sell is still the main subject of the image .  I chose to advertise headphones to lead with the idea/slogan of silencing the world around you and diving into another world with the music you love to listen. My tutor in digital arts advised me to create my own imaginative headphones

Sequential photos part 2

Image
Sequential photos part 2  A task we had in week one was to take our own sequential photos . We started by thinking of different creative ideas then we had to sketch them on a piece of paper , the first thing that i thought of was a series of elevator pictures. The reason behind it is that lately i've been having some elevator problems at my accommodation building so that is what i sketched , a picture of the sketch is included below . In the first shot is the picture of the elevator with the doors closed, the second one the doors are starting to open ,the third ,the doors are completely open still working normally . Then in the fourth shot a person is in the frame walking to towards the elevator , in the fifth the person is in the elevator and then lastly the sixth shot it is supposed to be the elevator starting to break ,the doors not working and the red lights going off .  Here are 9 pictures capturing the elevator story , unfortunately i could

Sequential images - initial research

Sequential images - initial research                                Today we are talking about sequential images and researching photographers. This is about sequential images by Duane Michals                                                                   The spirit leaves the body                                                                                    1968 photo by : Duane Michals source : https://www.dcmooregallery.com/artists/duane-michals/series/sequences Duane Michals is a photographer who is known for his sequential images and text work . He started his sequential work in the late 1960's , staged photographs that capture the imaginative metaphysical elements such as "memory , desire and mortality" . He said " i believe in the imagination" in his book called Real dreams , in this piece of work called The spirit leaves the body he creates the illusion of a ghost waking up and leaving the body behind
