This will be research about my major project's location which is Frankfurt, Germany and I will be also researching demographics and accessibility.  Location Frankfurt is a central city on the river Main in Germany and it is the fifth largest financial and business city in Germany and the wealthiest city in Europe. It is a great city for entrepreneurs and innovators, and is also known for its "prosperous economy". It provides a wonderful environment for international corporations/companies opening offices and headquarters but it is also known for its amazing nightlife and diversity and it also has an excellent transportation system. The weather changes according to the season, usually, it is really warm in the summer with some exception of light rain but in the winter it is really cold. Parking lot design - Update

Image
This is an update post on my parking lot design on Sketch Up, I will be adding some details to my final result parking like disability parking space and elevators for transportation from one floor to the other.  I first opened the finished design and started by creating a square room for the elevator next to the wall with the pencil tool on the left toolbar. Then I chose an elevator from the "3D warehouse" on the right toolbar and placed it in the center. I also changed the one pathway of the road to go downwards for the second underground floor. This is the result of the first-floor underground parking lot.  For the next floor, I took the same design but changed some of the parking spaces for disability access. I did that by choosing a blue concrete material from the "material" section on the right toolbar and then the "concrete & asphalt" category.  This is the result of the second floor for parking.

Updating my Wix Website part 1

Today I will be updating my Wix Website for my project this term  First, I updated my portfolio page  First, I checked my pages to see if they all work smoothly, after that I opened my portfolio page which lead directly to my first project. I wanted to change and create a welcome page for the portfolio and a separate one for each project. First, I clicked on the section and then on "copy" to copy the whole page.  Then I went to the "page & menu" category on the left toolbar and then clicked on "add" on the top left corner of the box to add a page.   Then I clicked on the circle button next to the page box and clicked on "subpage" to add it in the portfolio category. I named the page "Tribrid" which is the name of my term 1 project.  Then clicked on the open page and pasted the whole page from earlier. After that, I want to the main page of the portfolio which I turned into a "welcome to my portfolio"  first page. I added t...

Tutorial - Project Update

Image
In the last tutorial I had for my major project this term, I talked with my tutor about some updates I had on my project and some more information I need to add. I decided to change my location from Duisburg, Germany to Frankfurt, Germany because it is a better choice of a city that has a bigger population and is, in general, a more financial and profitable city that supports better success in business, I will also do research about the location/demographics and accessibility. We also discussed my parking lot design, I will do an additional design which will be a second-floor underground parking lot where I will include disability parking spaces.

Floor-plans for office room process - Project Development

Image
This is my process of creating one of the offices' floorplan.  First, I opened a new document, then selected  'floorplan' in the top left corner, then clicked on 'add room' and chose the L-shaped room option, and placed it as the floor, I adjusted the size by clicking on the walls and dragging them outwards, after that I added a room in the top right corner for the bathroom with the "add walls" tool on the top left corner.  Then I added doors and windows by clicking on the walls, then "edit" on the toolbar that appears, and then chose a door for the entrance, toilet, and full-size windows.  Then I decided to add some furniture to show a clearer vision of how the room would look and where everything would be, I did that by going to 'products' on the top left corner and then clicking on 'furnish". I added an office with a chair and armchairs in front of it, a few storage units on the bottom wall, a sitting space with a sofa, a tabl...
