 Welcome to my blog where I will be blogging about the second term's module Art Portfolio 1.  For this term, I hope to push myself to discover more about art through the tasks we will have and develop new skills like hand sketching, digital sketching on Sketch Up, and ideas that will help me with my progression route. 

Over the break, I visited my family in Cyprus and on Christmas day we attended a dinner event at a hotel that I used to visit when I was younger. Revisiting this hotel, I was reminded of how amazing the building is and was inspired by the ancient greek architecture, the rooms and halls were designed with concrete columns and pediment sculptures as well as the event room we were sitting in which was filled with amazing art sculptures on the walls, accompanied with violin music which made the experience more pleasing. 

I am hoping with the skills/research I develop, to be able to achieve a better result for my major project this term and get more knowledge in my progression route for next year.

    Good first post to start with.... and then it stops! What do you want to achieve this term? Could you link what you saw at home on Christmas Day to another designers work historical or contemporary?

Creating my boards process / results - Project Development

 This is my process of creating my boards for my final art portfolio project, using Photoshop.  First I created a new document by clicking on 'New File', then 'print', 'A3', and chose the landscape mode. after my page was open I went on 'Unsplash' to find a related background.  Then I clicked on 'File' that's at the top left corner, 'open' and 'on your computer' and chose the image that I downloaded.  After that, I selected the image with the 'rectangular marquee' tool which is the first icon on the left toolbar and then clicked on 'edit', 'copy' and then went to my first page, clicked on 'edit' again and pasted it. Sequential photos part 2

                                    Sequential photos part 2  A task we had in week one was to take our own sequential photos . We started by thinking of different creative ideas then we had to sketch them on a piece of paper , the first thing that i thought of was a series of elevator pictures.The reason behind it is that lately i've been having some elevator problems at my accommodation building so that is what i sketched , a picture of the sketch is included below . In the first shot is the picture of the elevator with the doors closed, the second one the doors are starting to open ,the third ,the doors are completely open still working normally .
